This two-year Master's program is tailored for design graduates aiming to deepen their expertise through a blend of advanced theory, practical application, and research-based inquiry. Students are equipped to shape meaningful, sustainable, and culturally sensitive spaces by integrating academic rigor with professional insight.

Scope of the Program

Students engage in advanced coursework across design theory, research methodologies, digital modeling, sustainability, human factors, and design innovation. The program includes collaborative studio work, interdisciplinary research, and exposure to cutting-edge technologies like VR/AR and smart environments. Thesis projects allow students to explore areas such as furniture design, adaptive reuse, and textile innovation—preparing them for leadership in design practice, academia, or consultancy.

Notes:

Withholding Tax which was chargeable on fee, where annual fee exceeds Rs. 200,000 under section 236 (i) of the Income Tax Ordinance, 2001 (The Ordinance) has been omitted by the Finance Act 2022. However, this tax will be charged to the students as when implemented again by the Government.

Entry Requirements

1:16 years of education (124 credit hours) after HSSC/Grade 12 or equivalent in a relevant discipline, with minimum 50% marks or 2.00 CGPA.
2: Admission test required (GAT General by NTS or an equivalent university/recognized test) with minimum 50% score.
3: Degree completion requires 30 credit hours, or 24 credit hours plus 6 credit hours of research/thesis.

Need-Based Scholarship

The grant of scholarships to students who do not have such means to pay up the full fee of their degree program. This scholarship is meant to recognize their financial burden and to give a subsidy on their tuition fee enabling them to continue their studies. Scholarships will range from 10% – 50% of the Tuition fee based on the facts and documentation of the relevant applicant.

Merit-Based Scholarship

The grant of scholarship to students who got a certain percentage of marks in their intermediate/A level/any equivalent to HSSC results and are promising scholars. The scholarship is given in various degree programs as per the marks obtained by the applicant and its continuation is based on the maintenance of CGPA as per the following table.

Laiba Khan – Bachelor of Interior Design Thesis

Laiba Khan’s thesis project presents a compelling intersection of film and interior architecture, reimagining the adaptive reuse of Capri Cinema in Gulberg, Lahore, through the cinematic lens of director Wes Anderson. Titled “Cinematic Spaces: Reimagining Capri Cinema through the Lens of Wes Anderson,” the project explores how cinematic techniques—such as match cuts, montage, and symmetrical framing—can be translated into spatial design.
