Majid Maqbool Hussain is a hospitality professional, consultant, and academician with over 15 years of diverse experience spanning hotel operations, vocational education, and academic leadership. Currently serving as the Founding Head of Department for Tourism, Hospitality & Culinary Arts at IAC University, he is committed to developing globally competitive, industry-focused academic programs that prepare students for real-world success. He began his professional journey in Pakistan’s top hotel chains, including Pearl Continental Hotel Rawalpindi, Marriott Hotel Islamabad, Pearl Continental Hotel Lahore, and Avari Hotel Lahore. Throughout his hotel career, he held managerial positions and worked as a Departmental Trainer in the Food & Beverage Division, building strong expertise in hospitality operations and service excellence.

Founder of Two Leading Institutes: Established Indigo Hospitality Institute and ABLE – School of Culinary Arts & Hospitality Management, both dedicated to empowering Pakistan’s youth with practical skills in hospitality, culinary arts, and tourism management.
First Pakistani to Pioneer Large-Scale Hospitality Industrial Training with the collaboration Punjab Government:
Launched Pakistan’s first major industrial hospitality training program with Punjab Skills Development Fund (PSDF), successfully training 720 individuals across four cities at SAVOUR Foods, achieving an outstanding 90% job placement rate.
Public–Private Partnership Program: Spearheaded Crimson Hospitality’s collaboration with the Punjab Government, delivering specialized training in restaurant management, chef training, front office operations, and barista skills, directly benefiting 400+ participants.
Youth Development Contributions: Played a pivotal role in national youth empowerment programs such as the Kamyab Jawan Program and PM Youth Skills Development Program, of and National vocational and technical training Commission (NAVTTC) training 1,400+ students in culinary and hospitality trades across Pakistan.
