BIOGRAPHY

Experienced textile designer and educator with over 23 years of professional experience spanning leading textile industries, and art institutions in Pakistan. Currently serving as Assistant Professor at the School of Art, IAC, with a strong industry background, active design practice, and extensive experience in supervising undergraduate theses and textile design projects. Professional experience includes key roles at Gul Ahmed Textile Mills, Al-Karam Textile Mills, Edenrobe, and Gultex Galleria, where served as Assistant Brand Manager, Head of Design, and Head of Visual Merchandising. Since 2005, also worked as an independent designer, collaborating with national and international clients across Bangladesh, India, and Dubai. Expertise encompasses textile processes, surface design, printing, digital textile design, Jacquard development, visual merchandising, and mixed-media practices. With a strong balance of industry knowledge, academic experience, and creative practice, brings a multidisciplinary approach to textile design, education, and design management
