Students from semester 1 & 2, Department of Film & TV (FTV), School of Digital and Cinematic Art (SDCA) visited Express news channel as part of their academics. IAC regularly organizes such educational visits for students benefit. Students visited the different the different departments of Express news and learnt about the working of a main stream TV channel. They visited the Newsroom, Sound Studio, News & Programming Studios, Non-Linear, Creative and Graphics department, Archives, Program Control Room (PCR), and Master Control Room (MCR).
They were accompanied by HOD Film & TV, IAC Mr. Urooj Zafar and Mr. Omar Rehman Senior Producer News, Express News who explained the function of each department in detail. Students also met the ‘’Expresso’’ morning show hosts Armala Hassan and Imran Hassan on the set and were briefed about the morning show by its Producer. It was a great learning experience for the students who were fascinated with the entire experience and learnt many things about the electronic media industry.
