Performing Arts Festival “Urain ge” started with high zeal on Thursday 17th November, 2022 in Alhamra Cultural Complex, Qadaffi Stadium and continued grasping the attention of masses till Saturday 19th November, 2022.
Institute for Art and Culture (IAC), Centre for Energy, Environment and Economy (CEEE) and Centre for Climate and Environmental Research (CCER) sponsored the event for promoting performing arts and its platforms. IAC Society of Performing Arts also participated in the event. Dance team “KALAAKAR” and Theatre Society “TAMASHGEER” left the audience amazed with their mesmerizing performances. As a fruit of determination, continuous practice, inordinate production, unique storyline and TAMASHGEER of IAC won the Performing Arts contest. The judges appreciated the efforts of the team and awarded the IAC students with consecutive awards for Best Story, Best Actors, Best Delegation and Best Semblance. The audience were dwelled into their enthralling performance and couldn’t resist applauding for the hardworking team.
The three day event also involved IAC stall, which was aimed to enlighten students about the mission of IAC and degree programs and facilities offered at its state-of-the-art campus. A number of students showed keen interest in knowing about IAC and expressed their gratitude towards IAC for sponsoring this event. IAC teams were supervised and accompanied by HOD Film and TV Syed Urooj Samdani. Brochures were distributed among students and their queries were catered at the stall.
IAC provides platform for its students to flourish in their interests as well as supports such events to assure the promotion and grooming of emerging talent.
