Riaz Ahmad is serving as a Lecturer at the School of Informatics and Robotics, Institute for Arts and Culture (IAC), Lahore. He holds a Master of Philosophy (M.Phil.) in Computer Science from the Punjab University College of Information Technology (PUCIT), University of the Punjab, Lahore, and a Bachelor of Science in Software Engineering from the University of Management and Technology (UMT), Lahore.
He possesses over three years of academic experience in higher education, having previously served as a Junior Lecturer at UMT (September 2023 – March 2026), where he contributed to undergraduate teaching and academic development across multiple semesters. Since March 2026, he has been associated with IAC as a Lecturer, actively engaged in teaching, mentoring, and curriculum delivery.
Mr. Riaz Ahmad has taught a diverse portfolio of undergraduate courses, including Programming Fundamentals, Object-Oriented Programming, Data Structures and Algorithms, Database Systems, Operating Systems, Artificial Intelligence, Digital Image Processing, and Information Security. His teaching philosophy emphasizes conceptual clarity, practical implementation, and alignment with contemporary industry trends.
His research specialization lies in Machine Learning and Deep Learning, with a focused application in the domain of Bioinformatics. His M.Phil. research, titled “Prediction of Anti-Cancer Peptides using Machine Learning and Deep Learning Techniques,” explores computational methodologies for identifying biologically significant peptide sequences, contributing to the intersection of artificial intelligence and healthcare research.
Mr. Riaz Ahmad is particularly interested in the application of intelligent systems to solve real-world problems, especially in computational biology, medical data analysis, and AI-driven solutions. He remains committed to fostering innovation in teaching and advancing research in modern computing disciplines
