Exciting News: Welcoming Our New Pro Vice-Chancellor

We are delighted to announce that Prof. Dr. Najma Najam has joined us as the new Pro Vice-Chancellor at the Institute for Art & Culture.

Dr. Najma is a remarkable leader in higher education, making history as the first woman Vice-Chancellor of Punjab and the second in Pakistan’s history. She founded and served as the inaugural Vice-Chancellor of Fatima Jinnah Women University from 1998 to 2007 and later led Karakoram International University in Gilgit as the first woman VC from 2009 to 2014.

With over 50 years of experience in teaching, research, and administration, Dr. Najma is not only an esteemed psychologist but also a proud Fulbright alumna. Her academic journey has resulted in approximately 200 published works and the successful supervision of over 20 PhD students. This dedication to mentorship reflects her passion for nurturing the next generation of scholars.

Dr. Najma’s contributions have been recognized with numerous accolades, including the esteemed President of Pakistan’s Pride of Performance award. Her impactful career serves as an inspiration to many, and we are excited to see how her vision will shape our institute.
