Professor Dr. Haroon Ur Rashid Kayani completed his Ph.D. in Engineering from the University of Warwick, UK. During his time at Warwick. He has also received the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) award and the National Physical Laboratory (NPL) Industrial Award. Dr. Kayani has over 30 years of experience in both academia and industry, both locally and internationally.

Currently, he serves as a Professor and Head of the School of Informatics and Robotics at the Institute for Art and Culture, a position he has held since March 2024.
