While he was working for an advertising agency, he started his teaching career by joining Lahore Grammar School as a Drama Teacher in 2009. His design practice turned freelance when he opted to become a permanent faculty at LGS as the Performing Arts Coordinator in 2011. Mobeen directed and wrote more than 30 plays including the time he spent at LGS. He also started going to universities; NCA & COMSATS as an external examiner for their final year Visual Communication Design program from 2015 – 2021. In 2016 he co-founded two theatre-for-children organizations; Chota Mota Theatre and Assitej Pakistan. From the period of 2017 – 2019, he organized two international performing arts festivals ‘Tamasha 2017’ and ‘Tamasha 2019’. Also he organized two internation theatre residencies, ‘Next Generation’ in 2018 and 2019 respectively. In 2018, Mobeen left Lahore Grammar School as the head of drama and design and joined the Institute for Art and Culture as an assistant professor for the School of Art - Graphic Design program. All this while, he kept working as a freelance graphic designer with notable clients like GSK Pakistan, Pakistan Cricket Board, Unilever Pakistan, Interloop Limited and many more.
