BIOGRAPHY

Prof. Dr. Shabbar Atiq completed his B.Sc Engineering in Metallurgy and Materials Science from the University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore in 1985 followed by Ph.D in 1990 from Imperial College London. He joined PCSIR Laboratories Quetta in 1990 and served there till 2006. In 2006 he joined Bahauddin Zakariya University where he worked in various positions such as Director, Principal Engineering College, and Dean of the Faculty. In 2019 he was appointed as Vice chancellor of the University of Gujrat where he performed his duties till July 2023. During this period he also held the charge of the vice-chancellor of the University of Mianwali and the Punjab University of Technology, Rasool.
