Welcome to the School of Digital and Cinematic Art!

The School of Digital and Cinematic Art which comprises dedicated, experienced and qualified faculty members provides programs in Media and Communication Studies, Game Design and Development, Animation Design and Film/Television.

The vision of the School is to impart holistic development by inculcating knowledge and skill into the students to become thorough professionals and responsible citizens across a spectrum of social, cultural and political system.

In the walk to achieve its vision, the School works through a mission of making thorough media professionals and socially responsible citizens through student centric media education, digital media technology, extra-curriculum, outreach activity and digital media research environment.

With our well-equipped labs, students are encouraged to take part in practical trainings,  resultantly the school produces individuals who are committed to nation-building and lifelong learning. SDCA students are known for their in-depth technical skills in concept design, visual development, art execution through 2D and 3D animation, game design, video production, and filmmaking. Their initiative, passion, diversity and creativity are nationally competitive.

We have already reviewed and updated scheme of studies in our all four programmes; Game Design and Development, Animation Design, Film & TV and Media and Communication Studies according to market requirement with digital media experts and communication professors.

The school also has collaboration with Rubika-a French organization for advance training of our students especially in the fields of Game and Animation Design. Overview

School Of Digital And Cinematic Art believes to lead in active learning through entrepreneurial training, and bridging research and practice with the aim to provide instructional models that foster critical thinking and leadership qualities. The School of Digital and Cinematic Arts introduces a novel teaching approach that revolves around SDCA’s casework, an initiative where a series of teaching materials are focused on a single project and used in several core courses simultaneously.

INCUBATION CENTRE

The Incubation Center will work as a Gaming, Animation, and Film Venture Accelerator that is designed to capitalize on the tremendous opportunities existing in the mobile application, gaming, film and animation spheres. It seeks to achieve its primary objective by supporting students and talented youth with a target of creating successful projects/ companies during its development.

Aims And Objectives

  • The aims and objectives of the degree programs offered by SDCA are to encourage students to:
  • Develop their artistic vision and deeper understanding of their disciplines by combining the theoretical and practical knowledge and allied skills.
  • Design innovative games through the latest storytelling techniques..
  • Produce, debate, and develop ideas for film and other media that include writing from personal experience, visual and aural acuity, technical excellence, dramatic distillation, and emotional resonance.
  • Make them capable of visually expressing these unique ideas through film, video, and other new media, and to exhibit a thorough understanding of the concepts essential to the art of directing projects for film, television, documentaries, dramatic narrative projects, and the web.
  • Promote an awareness of cinematic arts, comprising animation, interactive storytelling, game design, visual effects, the web & digital media, and how they all play a vital role in the evolving nature of storytelling in film, television, and the web.
